Democratic Presidential Candidates Ask Congress To Do Something Against Gun Violence

Democratic presidential contenders are urgin Congress to take action against gun violence. According to Reuters, the U.S. faced two back-to-back shootings in Texas and Ohio, leaving 31 dead. They are asking for universal background checks, “red flag” laws and a ban on assault weapons. Sen. Elizabeth Warren said: “We are going to make change. We are going to pass gun safety laws in this country.” Mayor Pete Buttigieg said: “They have no basis in our neighborhoods in peacetime in the United States of America.”
