FARMINGTON – Farmington resident Anthony Wero set the bar high in today’s Four Corners senior games bowling competition at Bowlero Lanes, but Farmington’s Pat Horvat claimed the top score to win the event.
Wero caught fire with multiple strikes near the end of the first of three games, scoring 185.
However, momentum swung in Horvat’s favor by his seventh frame in the third game. He closed with at least two strikes and one spare. Horvat scored a 197 in that game, the top in-game score, to win the event.
There were 17 competitors in the event.
The next Four Corners games event will be a darts competition at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Bonnie Dallas Senior Center in Farmington.
