FARMINGTON – The Farmington Lady Scorpions engaged in yet another five-set volleyball slugfest, taking down crosstown rival Piedra Vista (23-25, 27-25, 25-22, 18-25, 15-13) tonight at Jerry A. Conner Fieldhouse in Farmington.

After PV drew first blood in the opening set off some easy tip-ball points, FHS started building momentum and took the next two sets.

Farmington had some key hits to the back corners in the fourth set, but PV stormed back late in that set to force a fifth set.

Farmington was in familiar territory, though, as the Lady Scorps entered their ninth five-set match of 2019. And they seized control by attacking the far edges of the floor.
