FARMINGTON – Navajo Prep, Piedra Vista and Kirtland Central all did plenty to help their cases for spots in this year's state volleyball tournament.

Kirtland won the District 1-4A regular season and tournament titles.

The Lady Broncos’ key wins include Prep and Hatch Valley, and they also won nine regular-season district matches.

Piedra Vista placed second in the District 2-5A regular season standings, but generated some key victories along the way.

PV’s key wins include Farmington (three times), Los Alamos, Los Lunas, Kirtland and Rio Rancho.

Farmington (15-8) built a strong playoff resume, but the Scorpions did not qualify for the 5A tournament.

The Scorpions’ key wins included Kirtland (twice), Los Alamos, Goddard, Española Valley and Roswell. Farmington also swept PV in the district tournament semifinals.
