FARMINGTON – Farmington's Bergen Campbell will bring plenty of firepower to the Pima Community College volleyball team's offense after signing with the Aztecs today via athletic scholarship.

The senior outside hitter leads FHS with 217 kills. She has 716 total kills since her freshman year in 2015.

Campbell said Pima was drawn to her volleyball intelligence on the hitting end, particularly in targeting certain spots on the floor.

"I think that I'm going to help (Pima's offense) a lot," Campbell said.

Aside from the scoring punch she brings, Campbell said Pima, located in Tuscon, Arizona, was also drawn to her contributions defensively. Campbell has 243 digs and 27 blocks in 2018.

Going forward, Campbell said she wants to have quicker timing on defense to ensure the ball doesn't hit the floor as frequently when it comes her way.

After two years at Pima, Campbell said she hopes to transfer to an NCAA Division I or Division II program.

Farmington's Bradon Zastrow, left, and Wyatt Lawley signed with Pima Community College's baseball program on Wednesday.
