AZTEC — Aztec softball player Jocelyn Ulrich could bring a lot of power to the University of New Mexico’s offense after signing her letter of intent Wednesday to continue her career with the Lobos.
Ulrich, who plays catcher and third base, hit .530 with a team-high nine home runs and 44 RBIs for the Lady Tigers last season.
Since her eighth-grade season in 2015, Ulrich's career batting average is .498 to go with 32 home runs and 165 RBIs.
UNM is an NCAA Division I program in Albuquerque.
Teammate Alanna Larkins signs with Eastern NM
The Aztec shortstop signed her letter of intent with the Greyhounds on Wednesday.
Larkins hit .318 last season with four home runs and 22 RBIs.
ENMU is an NCAA Division II program located in Portales.
Aztec golfer Isabelle Peralta headed to Western NM
Peralta signed her letter of intent with the Mustangs on Wednesday.
Peralta qualified for the 2019 4A girls golf state championships as an individual competitor during this fall season on Sept. 18.
Western New Mexico is an NCAA Division II program located in Silver City.
