Here are some key Week 5 football matchups to watch in San Juan County

Farmington vs. Durango, Bloomfield vs. Hope Christian
Both the Scorpions and the Bobcats are unbeaten at 4-0 entering Friday.
Farmington is among four undefeated 5A teams so far, while Bloomfield and Grants are the only unbeaten 4A teams.
FHS’s offense is picking foes apart driving the ball downfield, averaging 47.8 points per game so far.
Bloomfield has been stellar on both sides of the ball, averaging 55 points scored and 15.5 points allowed per game.
The Bobcats would also benefit from another quality win, which would be another big step toward a possible first-round bye in the 4A playoffs.
Navajo Prep at Española Valley
After ending their four-game home stand on a rough note against Crownpoint, the Eagles are now in a must-win situation.
The tougher stretch of their schedule is still to come, and Prep needs to get back into the win column to restore its playoff hopes.
Although EV’s a New Mexico football bottom-dweller, winning just 34 games since 2004, Prep would still benefit emotionally from a win over a foe in a higher classification.
