Area football teams ranked again
FARMINGTON — Multiple area football teams keep on winning and have maintained good standing in the latest New Mexico Overtime Sports Center coaches’ polls.
Piedra Vista (No. 4 in Class 5A), Bloomfield (No. 5 in 4A), Aztec (No. 8 in 4A) and Newcomb (No. 8 in 2A) are ranked yet again.
Bloomfield and Newcomb both remain unbeaten entering Week 4.
PV has won back-to-back games behind stout defense. Aztec is struggling on on both sides of the ball and has dropped back-to-back games, but has already faced tough competition in Clovis and Taos.
