BLOOMFIELD — The Farmington football team reminded its competition in today’s seven-on-seven competition at Bloomfield that it can still be dangerous in the passing game.

The returning group, including wide receiver Kale Lucas, did plenty of damage on quick slant routes and deep into the corners behind the goal line.

The Scorpions also got some timely deflections defending against the pass, either simply swiping at the ball or breaking up a pass in time upon initial contact.

Farmington took care of business all the way to the end, beating crosstown rival Piedra Vista, 35-0, in the championship game.

Twelve teams took part in the event, including FHS, BHS, PV and Newcomb. Other schools included Taos and West Las Vegas.
