Tigers rally late, top Bayfield

FARMINGTON — The Aztec Tigers overcame a 7-3 deficit to top Bayfield 11-8 in Thursday’s game at AHS.

Aztec’s bats sparked in the fourth and fifth innings, tallying seven runs off seven hits during that span - including two-run home run by Chad Hill.

The Tigers have scored 11-plus runs in four of its first eight games in 2019.

PV softball recovers at Southern Warrior Classic

The Lady Panthers were shut out back-to-back times (7-0 versus Riverdale, Tennessee on Wednesday, 3-0 to Franklin County, Florida on Thursday), but they responded with a 6-3 win over Gibbs, Tennessee on Thursday.

PV then pulled away from West Morgan, Alabama en route to an 11-4 win today. PV scored five runs in the fourth inning and didn’t look back.

PV baseball’s struggles continue

The Panthers lost 6-3 to Chaparral, Colorado in Thursday’s Coach Bob Invitational game.

PV has dropped three of its first four tournament games.
