Key games to watch

Kirtland Central vs. Shiprock, 11 a.m. Tuesday

Squaring off in a non-district doubleheader, the District 1-4A foes both have an immediate chance to stay atop the District 1-4A standings and distance themselves from the pack in the standings.

Whoever secures a sweep will start building a bit of cushion for themselves sitting in first place.

Bloomfield vs. Pojoaque Valley, 3 p.m. Tuesday

The Bobcats look to tack on another pair of re’sum’e wins with this 4A doubleheader at BHS.

Pojoaque’s offense is starting to come around the last two games scoring 20 combined runs, so Bloomfield may have a bit of a challenge ahead.

The Bobcats are also trying to get back on the right path after dropping two of its last three games.
