Lady Scorps sweep Pagosa Springs

FARMINGTON — After engaging only in five-set battles the first five matches of 2019, the Farmington volleyball team quickly handled business in its straight-set win over Pagosa Springs tonight at Scorpion Arena.

FHS had plenty of good looks attacking the outer edges of the floor.

The Lady Scorpions already demonstrated the first five matches they can push their foes to the brink each and every time. And now they've demonstrated they can also put away foes quickly.

Farmington (2-4) will play in the Santa Fe Tournament Friday and Saturday.

Bobcats blast Grants

The Bloomfield boys soccer team won 10-0 today at Mesa Alta Soccer Field in Bloomfield.

The Bobcats scored their first four goals in the first five minutes and 54 seconds.

Cesar Ramirez scored five goals, while Jesus Jaquez scored four goals. Elijah Myers also scored a goal.

BHS (5-3) will play at 3 p.m. Thursday at Bernalillo.

Aztec boys soccer edges Pagosa Springs

Kolton Bruhn knocked in a pair of goals in the second half to help the Tigers pull ahead to a 5-4 win tonight at Fred Cook Memorial Stadium in Aztec.

Aztec snapped its eight-game losing streak.

Bruhn broke free and scored the go-ahead goal then later added another goal on a penalty kick.

Aztec (2-8) will host Piedra Vista at 3 p.m. next Tuesday at the Aztec Tiger Sports Complex.

Durango overcomes 0-2 deficit to top PV in volleyball

The Lady Demons took down the Lady Panthers in five sets tonight at Jerry A. Conner Fieldhouse in Farmington.

PV (1-4) will play in the Santa Fe Tournament Friday and Saturday.

Bloomfield girls soccer, Aztec volleyball drop matches

The Lady Bobcats lost 4-1 to Grants in tonight's soccer match at Mesa Alta Soccer Field in Bloomfield, while Dulce beat the Lady Tigers in three sets tonight at Lillywhite Gym in Aztec.
