Farmington police seek suspect in gas station robbery

FARMINGTON — Farmington police detectives are seeking information in the armed robbery Sunday of a Giant gas station.

Police were dispatched early Sunday morning to the gas station at 609 E. 20th St. after receiving reports of the robbery, according the Farmington Police Department's Facebook page.

The suspect allegedly threatened a store clerk with a knife at approximately 2:55 a.m. and then fled with an undisclosed amount of money, the Facebook page states.

The suspect is described by police as a 5-foot, 10-inch white man with a thin build and a goatee.

He was wearing jeans and a black, hooded sweatshirt at the time of the robbery, according to the Facebook page.

A surveillance video released by the department on Thursday briefly shows the suspect outside the gas station.
