FBI spokesman Frank Fisher said a 26-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man were killed after their vehicle was struck by another vehicle on Navajo Route 36 in Fruitland during the early morning of Aug. 16.
Their bodies were found about a quarter of a mile east of mile marker 14 and were sent for autopsies, Fisher said.
The driver of the other car survived the crash and was interviewed by authorities.
Fisher said no one has yet been arrested in connection to the crash.
