Hello from the Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce.

We had a wonderful Annual Banquet.  The Chamber’s heartfelt thanks to all of those who took time out of their busy schedules to attend. It was great to see you all there – and a wonderful way to network with those we do not see on a regular basis.  We would also like to extend our appreciation to all of you who donated items and purchased items from our silent auction.  We appreciate each and every bid.

Congratulations to our 2016 Award Winners: Irene Esquivel (Customer Service of the Year), Kathy Coleman (Educator of the Year), Jeremy Duran (Public Employee of the Year), DJ’s Pizza (Business of the Year), Bruce and RaNae Armenta (Citizens of the Year), and The Pennington Families (Judge James Welsch Lifetime Achievement Award).

On March 16th – we were proud to welcome a new business to Bloomfield. – Apex Physical Therapy located at 204 W. Broadway.  They have a wonderful state-of-the-art facility and will provide a much needed service to Bloomfield and San Juan County residents.  Please call Daniel at 333-7217 for an appointment.  They have convenient hours and a friendly staff – ready and willing to serve Bloomfield.

Upcoming events include Bloomfield Days on May 12 and 13. May 12 will be Kids’ Night Out and centered on family fun.  May 13 will have live music, great vendors and wonderful food items.  On Saturday we will also host our infamous Duck Race.  Be sure to buy your lucky duck. Also, if you have a youth group that is in need of a fundraiser contact Amy at the Chamber – we have a great plan. It’s not too early to sign up to be a vendor

In June the chamber will once again be hosting our 10th Annual  San Juan River Balloon Rally. This is a great family event, so be sure to mark your calendars for June 16, 17, and 18. If you would like to sponsor a balloon, the cost is minimal and the rewards are phenomenal – you get to crew and chase for your balloon and even have two riders fly the San Juan River on Saturday (weather permitting). The Balloon glow (weather permitting) is on Saturday – and it is an event you will not want to miss – seeing all those beautiful balloons lighting the night sky. For more information regarding vendor applications for Bloomfield Days or a Balloon Sponsor, please contact the chamber at 632-0880.

Wishing you all a wonderful spring – filled with a lot of sunshine and very little wind!
