FARMINGTON — The Navajo Agricultural Products Industry board of directors has reinstated Lionel Haskie as the interim CEO for the company.

The board announce the reinstatement in a statement released on Tuesday.

Board members placed Haskie on paid administrative leave on Sept. 4, pending an internal investigation into allegations concerning the management of NAPI.

Haskie is the operations and maintenance manager for the 72,000-acre farm located south of Farmington.

The release states the board used an independent third party to conduct the investigation and took "appropriate steps" to address issues found in the investigation.

NAPI executives did not respond to questions today regarding Haskie's reinstatement and about the investigation.

Haskie was reinstated by the board on Monday, and he returned to work on Tuesday, the release states.

During the time Haskie was on leave, NAPI chief financial officer Darryl Multine served as interim CEO.

The release states the board continues the process to select a new CEO, a position that has been open since April.
