Team Rubicon helps Shiprock with flood recovery

FARMINGTON — Members of Team Rubicon helped remove debris today from the Mesa Farm area in Shiprock.

The area was damaged by heavy flooding on Aug. 5.

Team Rubicon is an organization whose members are military veterans and first responders. They travel domestically and internationally to provide relief to areas affected by natural disasters.

Team members traveled from New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado to partner with the Shiprock Authorized Local Emergency Response Team and the Northern Agency Partnership.

They will continue cleanup activities Sunday. The services are at no cost to the homeowners.
