Christmas parade returns to Shiprock on Friday
FARMINGTON — The 15th annual Shiprock Christmas Parade of Lights will start at 6 p.m. Friday in Shiprock.
The theme this year is "A Star-Spangled Christmas," and the parade route will start at the Shiprock Chapter house and end at the City Market parking lot.
Goodie bags, cookies and hot beverages will be available at the end of the parade route.
The entry fee to participate in the parade is two unwrapped toys or baby items that will be donated to the Young Parent Conference, which will take place in January.
Line up for the parade begins at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the chapter house.
The deadline to register for the parade is 3 p.m. Thursday at the Office of Diné Y.O.U.T.H. in Shiprock. Entry forms are available at the office, located inside the Shiprock Youth Complex.
The parade is sponsored by the Office of Diné Y.O.U.T.H., Navajo Nation Shopping Center and Navajo Arts and Crafts Enterprise.
