FARMINGTON — Northern Edge Casino will commemorate Veterans Day with a ceremony on Wednesday.

The ceremony will start at 10 a.m. at the casino, 2752 Navajo Route 36 in Fruitland, and members of the Upper Fruitland Veterans Organization will present and post the colors, according to a press release from the casino.

The flags of the U.S., Navajo Nation and New Mexico will be represented, and there will be a performance of the national anthem in English and Navajo.

The players club at Northern Edge and Flowing Water Casino in Hogback will provide guests an American flag pin in observance of the holiday, the release states.

“This Veterans Day, let us thank those who served with valor and without hesitation to preserve our nation, especially our Navajo Code Talkers,” Derrick Watchman, CEO of the Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise, said in the release.
