FARMINGTON — A woman was killed in a vehicle rollover wreck this afternoon south of Bloomfield along U.S. Highway 550.
Emergency personnel were dispatched around 12:18 p.m. on reports of a vehicle rollover along U.S. Highway 550 near mile marker 137, according to San Juan County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Jayme Harcrow.
The vehicle was driving northbound on U.S. Highway 550 when it rolled over and off the road, Harcrow said.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released. The make, model and year of the vehicle also were not released yet.
Traffic was restricted to one lane northbound around 1:12 p.m. near mile marker 137 on U.S. Highway 550, which is southeast of the Hilltop Giant gas station.
The San Juan County Sheriff's Office and New Mexico State Police responded to the wreck. State police will handle the investigation.
