Air quality group will meet at San Juan College
Topics that will be addressed include ConocoPhillips' environmental projects and the EPA's Methane Challenge Program
FARMINGTON — The Four Corners Air Quality Group will meet next week to discuss several air quality issues affecting the region.
The group will meet from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 99103 at the San Juan College School of Energy, 5301 College Blvd. in Farmington.
Various agencies will present updates on their programs, and topics that will be addressed include ConocoPhillips' environmental projects and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Methane Challenge Program, according to a press release from the New Mexico Environment Department.
The meeting will start with a series of presentations by agency representatives from Colorado and New Mexico.
A "poster session" at 10:35 a.m. will allow participants to ask questions of those officials, as well as representatives from the Southern Ute Indian Tribe, the Navajo Nation, the EPA, the National Park Service, the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service.
