Blanco motorcyclist killed in SW Colorado crash

FARMINGTON — A 38-year-old Blanco man was killed Sunday in a motorcycle crash near Ignacio, Colo.
Colorado State Patrol Capt. Adrian Driscoll said in an email today that Matthew Macedo was killed after his motorcycle left the road accelerating out of a curve near mile marker 6.7 on Colo. Highway 172.
Driscoll said Macedo, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle and found dead at the scene.
He said excessive speed was a suspected factor in the crash.
Two other motorcyclists, 56-year-old Willy Roy Jr. and 43-year-old Abraham Vining, were killed in a crash Saturday south of Farmington. New Mexico State Police suspect the collision occurred when the men, who were riding tandem, did not stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Navajo Route 5 and N.M. Highway 371.
