Gratitude Run focuses on mental, physical and spiritual health
Berg Park event drew more than 100 participants
FARMINGTON — The second annual Gratitude Run, staged by Running Medicine Farmington, drew more than 100 runners and walkers Thanksgiving morning to Berg Park.
The event aims to promote mental, physical and spiritual health and wellness through running.
Participants could choose to run a 5-kilometer course or walk a 1-mile course. Prior to the start of the race, children participated in a 400-meter race.
Red Christmas ornaments were hidden on the running and walking courses. Participants who found the hidden ornaments retrieved them and returned them for prizes.
Running Medicine Farmington also has three groups that run throughout the spring, fall and summer. These groups include a youth running group, a community group and a competitive group.
