FARMINGTON — Several members of the community came together to serve a Thanksgiving meal to families in need today at a local church.

The Oasis Church atrium in Farmington was full of tables surrounded by families this afternoon. They were enjoying a meal served by the San Juan County Juvenile Services Program, Desert View Family Counseling and Cottonwood Clinical Services.

The 13th annual meal was started in 2006 by the county juvenile probation program to provide a Thanksgiving meal to struggling families who receive services from the three organizations.
