Farmington police stage National Night Out event at Berg Park

FARMINGTON — Members of the community swarmed Berg Park Tuesday afternoon despite the rain to attend the Farmington Police Department's National Night Out event.

The national event is held by police departments across the country to work on their connections to the community.

Children of all ages participated in games and activities across the park. Some of the inflatable games included a bounce house and human foosball.

Members of the Farmington Fire Department were holding their annual T-shirt fundraiser for the Cathy Lincoln Cancer Foundation as October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Vendors shared information with the community, and free hamburgers were distributed by Bronson Family McDonald's, a regional McDonald's franchisee.
