New District 3 Judge Sarah Weaver sworn in

Vacancy was created by retirement of Judge Sandra Price

FARMINGTON — District Judge Sarah Weaver was sworn to the bench this afternoon during an investiture ceremony at the Farmington District Court building.

Weaver was appointed to the Division 3 district judge seat for the 11th Judicial District on Feb. 2 by Gov. Susana Martinez.

She filled the position of Judge Sandra Price, who retired from the bench at the end of last year.

Judge Julie Vargas of the New Mexico Court of Appeals administrated the oath for Weaver in the J. Kevin Hale Courtroom.

Local magistrate judges and judges for the 11th Judicial District were present.

Wyatt and Dylan Weaver, Sarah's sons, participated in the robing of their mother.
