FARMINGTON — The New Mexico Dream Team, an Albuquerque-based immigrant rights group, will present a free clinic Saturday for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals renewals.

The event will go from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at San Juan College's ENLACE offices, 3539 30th St., Suite 118. It will also include presentations about legal rights for people who entered the United States as children, according to a press release from New Mexico Dream Team.

According to the press release, about 7,000 people in New Mexico benefit from the DACA program, and about 1,300 of those people are eligible to renew their participation this year.

The two-year renewals are available only for people who currently have a permit and whose permit will expire by March 5, 2018.

The New Mexico Dream Team partnered with the New Mexico Immigrant Law Center, Instituto Legal, ENLACA, Fierra Radio Station and Somos Un Pueblo Unido to organize Saturday's clinic.
