FARMINGTON — The San Juan County Office of Emergency Management is partnering with local businesses and first-responders to stage a disaster training event Wednesday morning.

The Full-Scale Disaster Simulation is set to take place from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday in the area around Farmington City Hall, according to a press release.

Municipal Drive will have restricted access around Farmington City Hall and Reilly Avenue during the set-up of the simulation and will be opened after noon, when the simulation has ended.

Local law enforcement, emergency services and businesses are participating in the simulated real world disaster training.

The event is designed to mimic real-world events and members of the community are reminded this is a training simulation.

Residents with questions or concerns can contact the San Juan County Office of Emergency Management at 505-334-7700.
