Motorcycle accident sends driver to hospital
FARMINGTON — Officers from the Farmington Police Department responded to a motorcycle accident on E. Main Street Saturday that left a woman unconscious.
Police Department spokeswoman Georgette Allen said officers were dispatched at 2:50 p.m. Saturday to 3030 E. Main St. in response to the single motorcycle accident involving a 35-year-old woman.
Allen said it appeared the woman was attempting to maneuver around a vehicle when she crashed her motorcycle.
She was unconscious when officers arrived and was transported to San Juan Regional Medical Center, Allen said.
Allen said no further information was available about the woman's condition.
The crash reduced eastbound traffic to one lane near the Farmington Museum at Gateway Park on Main Street, according to the department's Twitter account.
All lanes opened at 5:23 p.m., the department's Twitter account stated.
