The San Juan County Fair doesn't officially get underway until Monday morning, but the festivities began tonight on Main Street through downtown Farmington with the annual fair parade.

Despite overcast skies and the threat of rain, the parade attracted dozens of entries and hundreds of spectators, who saw floats, animals and marching bands of all varieties.

The fair runs from Monday through Aug. 19 at McGee Park, and includes livestock shows, competitions, concerts and a carnival. For a full schedule, visit sanjuancountyfair.net.
