Crash delays traffic in downtown Farmington

A two-vehicle crash in downtown Farmington on Tuesday slowed traffic.

FARMINGTON — A two-vehicle crash on West Main Street slowed traffic this afternoon in downtown Farmington.

Farmington police Sgt. David Karst said at the scene that a Toyota 4Runner was headed west on West Main Street shortly before 1:30 p.m. when it ran a red light at North Behrend Avenue.
The Toyota 4Runner struck the side of a four-door Jeep at the intersection and then jumped a curb on the eastbound lane of Main Street, according to Karst.

Karst said no was injured in the crash.

Jessica Palmer, 33, of Aztec, was identified as the driver of the Toyota 4Runner. She was cited for a red light violation.

Traffic on Main Street was reduced to a single westbound lane for about 30 minutes after the crash.
