FARMINGTON — The annual Sycamore Park Health and Safety Fair will provide opportunities for residents to learn about health care options in San Juan County.

The fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sycamore Park Community Center, 1051 Sycamore St. in Farmington.

It will feature more than 30 vendors. Representatives from the New Mexico State University Extension Office will teach about food safety, and the Farmington Fire Department will offer information about fire safety. Also, officials with the Farmington Police Department will provide child fingerprinting, according to a press release from the city of Farmington's Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department.

Four midwives from San Juan Health Partners Midwifery and Women's Health will also attend the fair to share information about the services they offer, such as well-women exams, gynecological visits and family planning, according to a press release from San Juan Regional Medical Center.

Pregnant women can enter a drawing to win a gift basket, according to the release.
