The Daily Times sports new look
When you came to daily-times.com today, you probably wondered if you had the correct web site. Overnight, we launched a new web site.
We realize people love their routines — whether it is the way they drive to work, read their print newspaper or use their favorite web sites. We don't like to disturb your digital routine, but this new content management system for our digital platforms has many improvements compared to our old site.
Our goal in making the switch was not to make our jobs easier (in some ways, it is more complex for us). Our goal is to serve you — our audience — with an enjoyable and smooth digital experience that is packed with the latest news, multimedia features and helpful advertising.
Please spend some time with each of our new digital platforms. Like me, I think you'll grow to enjoy them a lot more than the old versions.
Our goal for all of our platforms is to constantly update with the latest news and information. If you're a once-daily visitor, you probably are missing out on a lot. Try to adopt a routine of checking our site two, three or even four times a day.
You'll also miss out in the future if you are a single-platform user. We are planning special content for both our tablet and mobile apps that will not appear in the same way on our web site.
Moving to a new digital system never is an easy task.
The digital team's efforts, as well as the news gathering of all of our journalists, is done with you — our audience — in mind.
Thank you for being part of that audience.
