Sheriff's Office touts DWI Superblitz campaign
Sheriff’s Office encourages citizens to take active role by calling 911 to report suspected drunk drivers
FARMINGTON — The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office has announced that it and other law enforcement agencies are participating in the Winter Superblitz, which began Nov. 11 and runs through Jan. 4.

During that time, law enforcement agencies will set up additional DWI patrols and checkpoints throughout San Juan County. Sheriff’s Office deputies will be actively seeking traffic violations, specifically those violations that indicate intoxicated driving is involved.
The extra enforcement efforts will take place in locations the Sheriff’s Office has identified as having increased DWI incidents, such as arrests and alcohol-related crashes.
The Sheriff’s Office is encouraging citizens to take an active role by calling 911 to report suspected drunk drivers.
