FARMINGTON — The San Juan College Career Center will host a community job fair on Thursday that will include representatives from more than 50 companies and organizations who will discuss more than 600 job opportunities.

The job fair will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the student study area on the second floor of the Learning Commons Building, above Mary's Kitchen.

According to a college press release, companies and organizations will be hiring for full-time, part-time and seasonal jobs in fields that include nursing, home health, food service, sales, agriculture and educational services.

Employers at the job fair will include Basin Home Health, Four Corners Community Bank, San Juan Regional Medical Center, the Farmington Municipal School District, the Central Consolidated School District, Presbyterian Medical Services and the cities of Farmington and Aztec.

A reception will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. after the job fair in the Suns Room for the public to meet Alicia Middleton, the new director of the San Juan College Career Center. Middleton will unveil a new software program that aims to help San Juan College students and alumni find jobs.
