Daily Times, United Way team up for Christmas

FARMINGTON — The Daily Times and San Juan United Way have teamed up this holiday season to help local nonprofits.

Residents can drop off blankets, clothes, toys, baby essentials, personal hygiene items, non-perishable food and household supplies at about 20 locations throughout San Juan County. They include:

  • Basin Pump and Supply, 5968 U.S. Highway 64 in Farmington
  • BHP Billiton, 300 W. Arrington St. in Farmington
  • Farmington City Hall, 800 N. Municipal Drive 
  • ConocoPhillips, 3401 E. 30th St. and 9 County Road 5793 in Farmington
  • Farmers Market, 401 W. Broadway Ave. in Bloomfield and 816 N.M. Highway 516 in Flora Vista
  • Home Depot, 3560 E. Main St. in Farmington
  • Lower Valley Senior Center, 17 County Road 6668 in Fruitland
  • Sam's Club, 4500 E. Main St. in Farmington
  • Vectra Bank, 200 E. 20th St. in Farmington
  • Dollar General, 506 E. Broadway Ave., 3030 E. Main St., 1110 S. Dustin Ave. and 4700 W. Main St. in Farmington; 4186 U.S. Highway 64 in Kirtland; 2 County Road 5377, 1502 W. Broadway Ave. and 1001 E. Broadway Ave. in Bloomfield; and 1291 W. Aztec Blvd. and 1235 NE Aztec Blvd. in Aztec.

Donations can be dropped off through Dec. 15.

Donated items will be distributed to 18 agencies, including the American Red Cross, Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Juan County, three local Boys and Girls Clubs, Boy Scouts, Childhaven, Desert View Counseling, DNA Legal Services, ECHO Food Bank, Family Crisis Center, Girl Scouts New Mexico Trails, Kirtland Youth Association, Navajo United Methodist Church New Beginnings, Northwest New Mexico Seniors, People Assisting the Homeless, Presbyterian Medical Services and Sexual Assault Services of Northwest New Mexico.
