Western Drive targeted for sewer line construction
FARMINGTON — Members of the Aztec Public Works Department will meet with residents of a west Aztec neighborhood to discuss future construction.
Residents of Western Drive are encouraged to attend a public information meeting from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 28 to learn about the sewer outfall line project and construction.
The project is expected to begin at the beginning of August, according to a press release from the public works department. Construction will start Monday, Aug. 8 at the Waste Water Treatment Plant located at the end of South Oliver Drive.
The city anticipates the construction will reach Western Drive by September or October.
Due to possible access restrictions, the city is offering residents of Western Drive between Western Circle and Swire Avenue lodging at a local hotel for a few days during the construction, according to the press release.
