Aztec will approve preliminary budget next week
FARMINGTON — The Aztec City Commission will have a special meeting Tuesday to approve its preliminary budget for fiscal year 2017.
The meeting will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Aztec City Hall, 201 W. Chaco St.
The budget includes about $38 million of expenses. The city is required to submit a preliminary budget for approval to the state by June 1.
The city will focus on three projects in fiscal year 2017 — the East Aztec Arterial Route, the North Main Avenue corridor extension project and the sewer outfall line.
