Woman killed in vehicle rollover crash east of Bloomfield

FARMINGTON — A Farmington woman was killed, and four people were injured in a vehicle rollover crash on the afternoon of Sept. 11 near the San Juan and Rio Arriba county line.
The New Mexico State Police was dispatched around 12:21 p.m. on Sept. 11 to a vehicle crash around mile marker 84 on U.S. Highway 64, east of Blanco, according to a state police press release.
A Farmington man was driving a 2005 GMC SUV westbound on U.S. Highway 64 when the vehicle left the roadway and rolled.
Tyeshea Atole, 35, of Farmington, was a passenger. She was ejected from the vehicle. She was flown to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead from her injuries.
The 36-year-old driver and three other passengers; a 33-year-old woman, a 36-year-old man and 4-year-old girl received injuries that were not believed to be life threatening.
The press release did not have an update on the conditions of the passengers.
Investigators believe alcohol did not appear to be a contributing factor for the crash.
The crash is still under investigation.
