Bloomfield to hear presentation on outdoor recreation

FARMINGTON — The Bloomfield City Council will hear a presentation from Outdoor Recreation Industry Initiative officials during its 6 p.m. Monday meeting at City Hall, 915 N. 1st St.

The Outdoor Recreation Industry Initiative is a local group aimed at diversifying the economy by attracting outdoor recreation businesses and growing outdoor recreation opportunities.

In addition to hearing the presentation, the City Council likely will approve a list of priority infrastructure projects that it is required to submit to the state. The list will help when Bloomfield applies for state and federal grants and loans.

Aztec City Commission to vote on raising certain fees

The Aztec City Commission will vote on raising fees at the Motor Vehicle Department and through the Community Development department during its 6 p.m. Tuesday meeting at City Hall, 201 W. Chaco St.

The City Commission also will have a liquor license hearing for the Aztec Theater Center for Music and the Arts Inc. in downtown Aztec.

The Aztec City Commission meeting will be streamed live on the city’s YouTube channel.

Kirtland to discuss Red Apple Transit

The Kirtland Town Council will consider an agreement with the city of Farmington to pay for public transit through Red Apple Transit. It also will discuss priority infrastructure projects. The Town Council meets at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Town Hall, 47 County Road 6500.

The Farmington City Council meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday has been canceled.
