Children participate in Park Play Day at Westland Park

FARMINGTON — Farmington's Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs department has been hosting monthly Park Play Days since May.

The Park Play Days showcase various parks around Farmington and feature games for children.

Today, families attended the Park Play Day at Westland Park in Farmington.

The Park Play Days are part of the Farmington Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Jolt Your Summer Challenge. Participants can stop by stamping stations at the park to get their game cards stamped.

The Park Play Days will continue on a monthly basis through October. Upcoming Park Play Days include:

  • 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 4 at Milagro Park, 6032 Carl St.
  • 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 22 at Vista de la Plata Park on West Comanche Street.
  • 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 22 at Sycamore Park, 1051 Sycamore St.
