An Early Bird Walk takes place at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Riverside Nature Center in Animas Park off Browning Parkway in Farmington. A walk of approximately 2 miles is included, and participants are advised to bring binoculars to help them see some of the 135 bird species that call the river parks home. Participation is free. The annual Deacon's Yard Sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Aztec Presbyterian Church, 205 N. Church Ave. in Aztec.
