Bloomfield council will consider selection of interim city manager
Aztec commissioners will discuss progress on bypass
FARMINGTON — Members of the Bloomfield City Council will meet today to discuss the selection of an interim city manager as well as the status of a lawsuit against the city of Farmington over acquisition of electric utility infrastructure.
The council meets at 6 p.m. at 915 N. 1st St.
The Kirtland Town Council meets at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at 47 County Road 6500. The agenda was not available on Friday.
The Aztec City Commission will discuss progress on the East Aztec Arterial Route during its 6 p.m. Tuesday meeting at 200 W. Chaco St.
During the meeting, Aztec Municipal School District Superintendent Kirk Carpenter will deliver a presentation about school resource officers and the potential closing of Zia Street at the Aztec High School campus.
Both Aztec and Bloomfield officials will hear the annual audit report for their cities during their meetings.
The Farmington City Council will have a closed session at the end of its 6 p.m. Tuesday meeting to discuss the Four Corners Regional Airport and phase three of the 20th Street pedestrian enhancement project. Following the closed session, it will decide whether to begin negotiations for professional engineering services at the airport as well as the 20th Street project.
The professional engineering services identified for the airport pertain to multiple projects, including an environmental assessment for the airport reference code update, taxiway reconstruction and relocation, and updating the airport master plan.
The 20th Street project includes sidewalk installation and improvements.
The Bloomfield Municipal School District board will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the district central office at 325 N. Bergin Lane. The board will consider contracting with Manning Accounting and Consulting Services for the district’s fiscal year 2018 financial audit and adding a two-dimensional design art class to the Bloomfield High School course catalog.
The Farmington Municipal School District School board will meet at 5:15 p.m. Thursday at the district's central office at 2001 N. Dustin Ave. The board will consider entering into a memorandum of understanding with Presbyterian Medical Services to provide an early Head Start preschool program.
The Aztec Municipal School District board will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at the district's central office at 1118 W. Aztec Blvd. The board’s agenda had not been published Friday.
The Central Consolidated School District will have a public hearing for the fiscal year 2018-2019 budget at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Kirtland Boardroom in Kirtland.
The CCSD Board of Education will have a work session at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Shiprock Board Room in Shiprock.
Student athletes who participated during the winter season at Shiprock and Newcomb schools will be recognized.
