Holiday closures and cancellations listed

FARMINGTON — Several local entities have announced that they will be closed multiple days this week due to Thanksgiving. Two local government meetings also have been canceled.

Farmington Public Library: The library will be closed Thursday through Sunday. The online resources will remain available at infoway.org.

San Juan College: The Educational Services Center closes at 5 p.m. Tuesday. The entire campus will be closed Wednesday through Sunday, and there will not be any classes at the Aztec, Farmington or Kirtland campuses. The college library will close at 9 p.m. Tuesday and will remain closed through Sunday. The Human Health and Performance Center closes at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and will reopen at 4:30 a.m. Friday. The center will be open until 8 p.m. Friday and from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. A list of Human Health and Performance Center hours is available at sanjuancollege.edu/hhpc.

City of Bloomfield: City offices will close at noon Wednesday for the Thanksgiving holiday. The offices will reopen at 7 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27.

San Juan County: The County Commission meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday has been canceled.

Judicial Branch of Navajo Nation: The office will be closed starting Wednesday to observe Thanksgiving and Navajo Nation Family Day, which is the day following Thanksgiving.

City of Farmington: A City Council work session scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday has been canceled.

Motor Vehicle Division: All state offices, including the MVD, will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Boys & Girls Clubs: The clubs in Bloomfield will be closed Thursday and Friday, according to a post on the Facebook page. Latisha Joseph, the development director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Farmington, said the clubs in Farmington will be closed Wednesday and Thursday.
