A more than $3 million expansion of the Navajo Lake Marina will be highlighted during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3 p.m. Friday at the marina at Navajo Lake State Park.

The expansion includes a new café and a new store featuring a Southwestern décor, as well as a splash pad for children, several courtesy slips, a fishing hole, a new gas dock and the first floating public access restrooms on the lake. The new facilities replace metal shed buildings that were constructed more than 50 years ago.

The newly expanded Navajo Lake Marina features a new cafe and store, among other amenities.

Friday's lineup of activities includes free kayaking and paddleboarding, door prizes, a fishing contest for kids, free hot dogs, a treasure/rock hunt, a water balloon toss contest and pottery lessons for kids. Call 632-3245 or visit navajomarina.com for more information.
