Business event will discuss computer security

FARMINGTON — A small business organization is hosting an event Thursday  to discuss technology and computer security for local businesses. 

San Juan College

The Farmington location of WESST and the San Juan College Enterprise Center is hosting a small business brown bag lunch training from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Room 5028 in the San Juan College Quality Center for Business at 5101 College Blvd. WESST is a small business development and training organization with offices across New Mexico.

A representative from Kosh Solutions, a computer and IT consulting services firm, will discuss the best practices for keeping your business technology "bullet proof."

Some of the topics that will be discussed include tips for configuring technology to reduce costs, distractions and problems; the best practices for backing up computer data, and information on monthly hardware and software maintenance. 

The event is free, and attendees are encourage to bring their own lunch.
