FARMINGTON — The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch and a hazardous weather outlook advisory for portions of north and central New Mexico.

Weather Warning

The notices, which were issued this morning, include San Juan County and remain in effect through Thursday night. The flash flood watch states the northwest part of the state will likely experience the heaviest rainfall and experience the greatest flash flood danger.

The National Weather Service advises people to avoid arroyos and to be aware of weather conditions in surrounding areas.

The storm brought flash flooding to southern Utah and parts of Arizona as it moved through the states earlier this week.
