FARMINGTON — TCC, a national Verizon retailer, wants to help stock classrooms with more school supplies for students.

Until Feb. 12, people can go to or call area TCC stores to vote for their favorite local teachers and reward them and their students with school supplies donated by the company. Both TCC stores in Farmington — at 4323 E. Main St. and in the Animas Valley Mall at 4601 E. Main St. — are participating in the program.

Part of the retailer's annual Teacher's Rock Supply Giveaway program, 5,000 winning teachers across the U.S. will receive classroom supplies the week of Feb. 21, according to press release from the company.

The supplies — valued at $50 each — will include glue, pencils, pens, markers, erasers, paper and tissue boxes, among other classroom supply items. Last year, TCC donated 3,500 supply packs to teachers across the country, according to the release.
