FARMINGTON — San Juan County schools will start two-hours late today due to a storm that left a blanket of snow over northwest New Mexico.

In its weather delay alert, Farmington Municipal School District stated that the delay was caused by road conditions mainly outside of the city limits. Preschool has been canceled for Farmington Municipal School District. Because of the two-hour delay, students will not have an early release today.

Morning preschool has been canceled at Bloomfield Early Childhood Center and the Bloomfield schools are operating on a two hour delay. Aztec schools are also on a two-hour delay.

Central Consolidated School District also implemented a two-hour delay. Newcomb or Naschitti students who ride the bus will need to get on at the designated bad weather bus stops, according to the CCSD announcement.

San Juan College's campus will open at 10 a.m. today.
