FARMINGTON — There will be a special meeting of the Central Consolidated School District board at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Shiprock Board Room in Shiprock.

Last week, the board voted 3-2 to remove Superintendent Don Levinski and appoint Colleen Bowman as interim superintendent, but the legality of the board's action is under question.

The agenda, which was released by the district on Friday, lists an executive session to discuss Levinski's employment status and an interim superintendent contract.

Also listed on the agenda is a board discussion and possible action on two items.

The first item would ratify last week's action to place Levinski on administrative leave and start the discharge process.

The second item would ratify naming Bowman as interim superintendent and setting her salary.
